A Troubling phenom in paradise

I have lived here for 20 years coming from the NY east coast area. This is a lot better in Summer as reflected in the rents which are out of this world -- $200 per night!. The winters come on earlier often, I remember snow flurries on the last day of September. It can be dreary from November to January. Usually February lightens up a bit but the winters can be overcast yet milder than the North East. However as it is wet all the time in winter, you are apt to get just as uncomfortable even though you rarely get a week below 20 degrees. The lack of sunshine due to
